Deanna was AMAZING to work with, the entire process was so fast, seamless, and incredibly easy due to the customer service and attention to detail at Modest Brides. Trusting someone to create your dream wedding dress can be incredibly nerve wrecking and scary, but since starting the process with Deanna i haven’t felt anxious one bit about it! Deanna was an absolute joy to work with from the very first day I messaged her, right to the last minuet when I had the dress in my hands…and even after that! She helped me design my perfect fairytale dress, everything from the style and fit right down to the material and the little details. She was very quick to respond and always had me well informed every step of the way with constant communication and photo updates. It’s really reassuring knowing I was kept in the loop the entire process! I’m a very indecisive bride and kept going back and forth on some design elements (oops, lol) but Deanna was super kind, patient and helpful by offering suggestions, showing me different options and helping me make my decisions. The turn around time was great! Came in way sooner than I expected. When she dropped off the dress, my mom and I were super impressed with the quality. It turned out even prettier and magical than the reference images I sent! I can’t wait to wear this on my wedding day. Even after she dropped off the dress she checked in on me to make sure everything was alright and offered her continued support. Now that’s what you call great customer service! I know tons of friends who are looking to get married soon and I will for sure recommend Deanna and Modest Bride to all of then ❤️

I was so nervous to look for dresses since I never knew what I wanted but knew it had to be modest which is very hard to find. The first person I went to was Deanna and I never even thought of looking anywhere else. She listens to everything you want and gets to know your style so she can make you the perfect dress. I put my trust in her and let her get creative and she was able to make a dress more beautiful than I could have ever imagined. She is so sweet and genuinely cares and gets excited about her clients! Planning a cross border wedding in the middle of a pandemic was stressful and so last minute in every single aspect except the dress, thanks to Deanna. She helped me design a dress that my family and friends agree is so me, which I would never have hoped to find by shopping around in bridal stores in Canada. She guided me through the whole process, and was so quick on turnaround time to answer my questions, make changes, and get the dress shipped out. I placed the order in August for a wedding in January, and received it well in time to get minor alterations. It was a lot of fun to choose the custom modest design, fabrics, embellishments, and colours. I also had Deanna help me design the gorgeous veil I am in love with. I felt like a princess on my wedding day! 

The only thing I would change would be to have requested a matching headscarf. I thought that would be easy to find at the fabric store but in hindsight I could have saved myself a headache by asking Deanna to help me with my scarf as well!

Modest Bride created my unique one of a kind wedding gown. They helped me design the dress of my dreams and I got to pick out lace patterns and fabric and colours. The process was extremely easy and Deanna is great to work with! She frequently kept me updated and was always so accommodating. Her team did an amazing job with the dress and it fits so perfectly. Ever since I was a kid I had a dream of feeling like a princess on my wedding day, and Deanna made that dream come true for me. All my dreams have been fulfilled the day I contacted her and showed her the dress I wanted. Living in Canada you don’t have a huge selection of special dresses like you do back home because all of the dresses here are pretty much basic or the same thing which was my biggest fear the second I got engaged.

One of the biggest concerns I had while planning my wedding was finding a modest wedding dress. Long sleeve wedding dresses in dress stores tend to be limited, let alone ones that are truly modest and hijabi-friendly. That’s why I was instantly so relieved when I came across Modest Bride’s instagram page. All the dresses I saw were beautiful and unique. So, once I started planning for my wedding- I instantly reached out, and Deanna was extremely supportive and kind from the start.  Not only was she consistently there to answer any questions I had - she also updated me every step of the way.  I was able to fully customize my dress and I am extremely happy to now be able to have my dream wedding dress. I started stressing about finding a wedding dress right when I got engaged. I’m a hijabi and it’s so difficult finding modest dresses in Canada. I even thought of going back home to get a custom-made wedding dress. After about 3 wedding dress appointments with no luck I was very disappointed. The day Deanna launched ModestBride.co my sister showed me the page and I thought to myself “This can’t be real!” So I messaged her right away. She was so approachable and SO nice. I felt like she understood the struggle. She told me that everything I want in a dress could actually be done. Everything was so straight forward and Deanna answered all my questions and gave me guidance when I needed it. She showed me the lace samples I got to pick the lace I liked most from many different samples. Once all the details were decided upon it was incredibly quick and she started sending me progress pictures soon after. All you have to do is decide on the details and get the measurements (even then Deanna was there to help over the phone with that too). I could not recommend this business more. It’s perfect for all my fellow hijabis and it’s based right here in Ottawa.

As someone who just got engaged, I instantly started stressing about a modest wedding dress. I wanted to learn more so I messaged Deanna and she explained how the whole process works to me. It sounded so attractive and easy. Since I got engaged, I was excited but very worried in regards to my wedding dress because I am a hijabi and I know it is difficult to find something that will be modest. I also did not have any design in mind but knew I would be very particular and picky when it came to finding a dress I liked. Fortunately for me, I found Modest bride or I should probably say it found me! When Deanna followed me on her page I was in shock because I did not believe that I could create the dress I wanted, somewhere that specialized in modest wear that’s hijab friendly. She was so easy to talk to and answered all my questions while reassuring me it will be a great experience and she was absolutely right! The dress came much earlier than I expected and is even more beautiful than I could have ever imagined. It makes me feel like royalty. Truly everything I want and more. I loved this experience and Deanna made sure I was included in the whole process. She sent me updates and progress photos the whole time the dress was being made. The process of finding your dream dress should be fun and exciting but the reality is that it’s almost impossible to find a dress that meets all your criteria; fits you perfectly with no need for alterations, within your budget, and is ready in a timely manner, or so I thought, until I discovered Modest Bride. It felt almost too good to be true when I came across her instagram page! I knew that custom dresses were a thing but most people I know had to travel overseas to get them made and the whole process was costly but Deanna will deliver your dream dress right to your door, literally! The process was so incredibly smooth and easy. Deanna is so friendly, helpful, and patient making sure you get exactly what you want and you’re fully satisfied. There are endless possibilities to choose from and they offer some of the most beautiful materials I’ve ever seen! All it took was a few conversations over text and my dream dress came together so quickly. I’m so incredibly blessed that I found her and was able to get my dream dress in such a short period of time. The lockdowns made it almost impossible to shop around so discovering her brand could not have happened at a better time. This dress holds so much meaning to me, not just because it’s the dress I will wear when I get married, but also because it was my dream dress that was custom made just for me.
